Piano across america - you inspire me
- I have to take some time to outline my motivations. Firstly here are some facts about me.
- My journey of relevance started about 5 years ago when I got divorced. Rather broken with a very small baby boy. I cant say 0-32 had been that much fun and I decided that if you can indeed eat in elephant if done over time in small pieces, then the process to happiness needed to begin.
- I started a dream book and I believe that was the seed sown. In a nutshell, years of reading learning and exploring began.
- I think for me it was essential to understand the mechanism of the mind. The biology of the mind and it workings in our state of being.
- I am no guru or enlighhtened one but I do find these days I have a really good ratio of happy to not happy days, a sense of purpose scattered with what I term joy bursts. I read once about a ladies descpription of this experience. She used lanterns as her anology. Strung up by a string between two parts were these lanterns. And for her happiness is like those lanterns on the string. They come along the string at intervals and light up the space. Happiness I think is like that. How many lanterns are on your string determines your happy ratio.
- I am priveledged in many ways. I come from a well off family. I have a degree. A beautiful boy, great friends and a lovely home i get to live in. But happiness is not selective based on circumstance.
- I am 39 years old. Me in a nutshell - adventurous courageous and interesting. Most importantly I think is my appreciation of myself. And that was a road I had to walk. I told my lovely man recently that I am the softest strongest person he will likely ever meet.
- My mom is amazing. The cleverest lady I know for sure.
- I am positive its her influence in my life that has created compassion and awareness in my world.
- I have stated that I want the power to influence. And its only of recent paying some attention to people around me that I think I could go forward with some credibility. Not a lot but enough to start.
- I would like for this to be in the following manner:
- Ability to share my learnings
- Ability to grow people
- Ability to effect change in a very tangible and meanignful way
- Raise the joy vibration - (friends who may stumble across this will let out a collective moan at my "hippiness")
- But actually if you think about it, how liberating to understand that your greatest contribution to this world, your most meaningful legacy, is actually just to lend it your joy. I read a time magazine article a few months ago on the imminent problem we have in this world is our water crisis. Guess food must be second on the list. Anyway - the esteemed authour concluded that THE ONLY way to solve this crisis was to raise the joy vibration. Well not in those exact words but it was something along those lines. A dramatic shift in social consciouness.
- More love basically underpinning our choices.
- So my objectives are along these lines. I want to be part of this revolution. And i want it in the form of a grand life adventure. With me for this ride I hope to have friends, my family my lover and of course my son.
- I used to be terrified of public speaking. REALLY held me back for most of my adult life. I would avoid situations where extending myself would involve it. I have a feeling I am going to be called to do it in time to come. And I pray that I can do it justice and have fun!
- To be frank, I have no freaking idea how I am going to do this. I dont think I want to be piano man pushing a piano across america although that story does inspire me. I have to take some time to formulate my plan.
- But this story is a start and who knows where it will end

- I have a need. There is not better way to describe it. It could be deemed common and of course vain but then I am amongst the masses.
- My need is a little complex, wrapped up in a few layers of motivation. I want the power to influence.

Falling in love
Right now I am a playa but I reserve the right to be at this juncture in my life. It’s really a first for me to feel like I am in the pound seat. Maybe I feel like I have earned this place. It’s taken years of introspection, learning, reading, failing, falling, getting up and doing the proverbial dusting off. Ahhh the sweet spot. I am going to suck the juice from this chapter.
